About the Workshop
The CAAM-HP received several requests for another capacity building workshop following that held in March 2017. So successful and well received was this developmental activity that some participants as well as other institutions requested another staging. Hence CAAM-HP hosted another Workshop. This was held July 25-28 in Trinidad and Tobago at the Hyatt Regency.
Focus
- Further discussions: Countdown to the 2023 deadline for effecting the policy for eligibility of graduates for ECFMG Certification;
- Further strengthening of the capacity to assess readiness for the accreditation process;
- Further strengthening of the capacity to interpret the requirements of the standards;
- Further development of an understanding of the elements of a well-designed curriculum.
One of the highlights of the Workshop was group deliberations using case studies in what was a highly participative and interactive forum. These case studies were designed to develop interpretation, application and assessment of the accreditation standards.
